Professor Plog is very experienced and is passionate about the subject, although the class can sometimes be boring. It should be interesting, though, if you like archaeology/anthropology. To be honest Plog makes the class sound a lot easier than it is. I didn't prepare very much for the first real quiz and got a C+, but after that on all quizzes I got A's. You just have to kind of ignore how he says it is super easy and treat it like any other college course. The material is mostly interesting. You should really go to office hours and talk to Plog about things you think are interesting in class, he becomes very open and friendly with you after that. Ask questions in class and just make sure to put 100% into all assignments, and you will do well!
In the back of his textbook, there is a filled out map that you can use to reference for the map quiz... Meaning do not spend your life going through random maps trying to locate places that no longer exist. USE THE BACK PAGE OF TEXTBOOK.
Also, interesting class with interesting material. Plog has a lot of knowledge and is fun, but can be monotonous and boring at times. Exams are not that hard, but make sure to be prepared.
