This class was super engaging! Prof. Stuart was incredibly organized and expectations were clear. A great introduction to a topic I knew very little about, and it was an accessible start with a great combination of medias to learn from (TV, podcasts, movies, articles, books, poems, speeches, etc.) Would recommend!

stuart is awesome. she's really understanding and runs a class that teaches you effectively. she will start class with a mini lecture and then (on zoom) put is into breakout rooms to discuss questions about the reading. the reading isn't too intense, it varies in amount alot during the first half of the semester. towards the second half of the semester, you'll start transitioning to film for your homeworks. there's no final, and the grade consists of very short writing assignments every few weeks on a reading of your choice, some quizzes on key terms in the class, participation in lecture, and a podcast project. not a stressful class at all which is a huge positive.
