This class emphasizes thinking about history in terms of people in general rather than focusing on specific events and "famous" historical figures. Not exactly what you might expect from a history class, but still very interesting with an interesting professor. Not too difficult, and I would recommend the class.

Miller has a very interesting view on history that is unlike anything I have ever heard before. Sometimes you have to really think about what he says in order to fully understand him, but the basic points he makes are valid and interesting. His THPs can be difficult, but once you get into the course, it gets much easier. Just make sure you pay attention to the lectures and go to discussion and its a pretty easy grade.
I really do not recommend this class. Miller is nice as he can be, but I came out of it with zero knowledge of world history. The class stays in the anthropological and theoretical side of history which is fine if that's what you're looking for. It's very hard to glean his main concepts from lectures, but just agree with him and disagree with the textbooks and you'll be just fine.
